General Assignment
I’ve been on the ground for some of the state’s most impactful news stories: The Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting. The first year of the coronavirus pandemic. The CZU Lightning Complex fire.
At NPR I covered the COVID-19 pandemic and racial justice protests nationally, writing digital posts and reporting on-air newscasts. For the Sentinel, I cover equity related issues, reporting with the Latinx community in Watsonville, people experiencing homelessness in Santa Cruz, and The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.
